So the other day I came downstairs after dinner and this is what I found. The kids were sitting in the window looking at a mouse that was caught in the window well. They sat there for quite a while just watching it and trying to make enough noise to get it to move. They even named it Peanut. Lucky for us, it was dead the next day.

first off, your kids look adorable in that shot of them in the window...the black and white one. I Love that picture.
Second off, that mouse looks kinda cute. Third, it's sad that you were happy he was dead...
but not really that sad.
Well Becca, mice are always cute until you see them in your house or you see signs that they are in your house. We already did that and it took forever to finally get rid of them. So I was relieved that it didn't end up in my house. Plus, they aren't good for anything, all they do is ruin my lawn. I guess they are good for my cat, he loves to kill them and leave them on my front porch for me to see. Like "See this awesome mouse I caught just for you!"
YUCK YUCK YUCK! I seriously hate mice soo bad. We get them in our window well all the time. GROSS!
Kids just enjoy watching them though - CRAZY!
I will trade you in a heartbeat!!! I am way jealouse that yours was outside...mine is all over inside. He is a smart little thing to. Last night Jas and I were watching TV and he ran behind our TV and so we put sticky traps on each side of it...just knowing that we were going to catch this little bugger...he ran out dodging the trap. Not once, but TWICE~!!! They are such disgusting creatures.
I love the pictures...so cute!
I am glad your cat is as good a mouse hunter as his mom. She does the same thing with the mice here. She will catch the mouse and either eat everything but the head or leave the entire thing on the porch for the dog to eat. Cayden actually got ahold of one right before we left for Alaska and almost stuck it in his mouth. Luckily I saw what he had before he could. Good thing she kills them, bad thing that she doesn't eat them.
