Janie & Jack

Janie loves posing for photos! She wanted a recent photo to send to her grandparents in London along with her email letter. She is getting so grown up! I had to post the picture of Jack too because I told my mom I would show her pictures of the cuts I have super glued. We have had four different accidents that have needed "repair" and all I can say is thank goodness for Super Glue!! First off, we were loading grain at Justin's uncles and Jack was playing on an old slide and trampoline, he jumped from the slide to the trampoline and bounced from his bum to his head and landed on a spring. He cut his forehead open and it could have used a couple of stitches but hey, who wants to spend a few hundred bucks when you can do it yourself. So we went home and cleaned it good and put a drop of super glue in it, worked like a charm. Next thing you know a few days later Janie got hit on the bridge of her nose with a toy broom and need another drop of super glue, you can see the scar in the picture above. Then Luke and Jack wrecked on the four wheeler and Luke had major road rash, won't post the picture because it's pretty graphic, but he had a rock in his cheek and his nose was sliced open. We glued his nose, the cheek was a puncture so it closed on it's own. Last but not least, Janie was trying to ride my bike and crashed and got a pretty good sized cut on top of her head, it was probably an inch wide and, you guessed it, we super glued it!!! I figured it was on her head and her hair would always cover it so no need to pay a doctor to sew it up. Now don't think I am a bad parent, I don't know how to set a broken arm or cast it so we would go in for that (lol) and have twice now, but with minor accidents where super glue will work, hey, we are going to save the cash. We have no insurance so every penny counts!
