Reid & Janie
We got our garden planted a couple of weeks ago and things are starting to sprout up. But we have quite a bit of grass shoots coming up as well so today I took the kids out and we started weeding the garden. It didn't last long but we got a little done and the kids could mark off one of their chores. We will have to do it little by little but it's good for them to do it. Janie asked why they had to help and I told her if she wanted to enjoy the things from the garden she had to do her part to take care of it. Jack didn't really weed, he just got my camera dirty trying to take a picture. I helped him take the one of me, lovely, isn't it!!

I can feel Janie's pain. When I was her age and my mom wanted us to work out in the garden, I would beg and plead to do anything, but that. I would offer to mop floors, clean out the fridge, anything other than pull weeds. Not much has changed and although I know I need to plant a garden(next year) it's going to be a struggle. You and the kids look great. It looks so pretty and green!
I am so stinking excited to see you all.
I also love your pits. They are not sweaty, like mine.
I am with Janie...I hate picking weeds, my yard is a great example of that, but there is nothing like fresh garden food! YUMMY!!!
Great job working in your garden! I wish we had one this year. Do you get lots of things to grow? For the last 2 years we've only gotten peas to grow. What's your secret?
And great photos of your kids on the slip and slide! Thanks for calling to invite my kids! If we were home they would have LOVED it! That's one awesome double slide.
And I love Reid's Daisy dukes. That made me laugh!
What a cute family.
I cannot get over the view you have from your yard! It is breathtaking, although partly because it makes me want to sneeze, but I am jealous of all the green. We are officially into 112 weather. UGH! You look great!
