Janie told me as she was getting ready that she needed to wear makeup, especially mascara. So we put some on and the whole time it was bothering her eyes. She kept doing this thing with her eyes because they were so irritated from the makeup. I makes her eyes look especially red.
Nice face huh! Luke fell and scraped his face earlier in the day when we were up at the Schiess reunion with Justin's family.

Reading her comments from the judges Janie did sewing 4-H this year for the first time. I think she enjoyed it. She really loves to sew things and do crafts, can't imagine where she got that from. Janie made this adorable skirt this year, I was kind of a bad mom, I guess, because we didn't use a pattern we just looked online for ideas and then took measurements and went to town sewing. Janie did it all by herself, I did have to show her once or twice how the sewing machine worked but for the most part she did it all . I helped her by making the matching flowers and attaching them to her shirt. Janie ended up with a purple ribbon which meant she qualified for the state fair. Way to go Janie!!
