Kindergarten Field Trip

Just off the bus, at the farm
Checking out the calves
Petting the calfReid is such a handsome boy when he smiles for realA couple of Reid and his side kick, JackIn the tractorPetting the MorgansEven Luke got a turn to pet the horse

Now to MD NurseryReid's teacher, Mrs. BatesAll the pretty flowers
Jack had his sticks the whole time, I think he found them at the farm.

Reid and his classmates got to go on a fun field trip last week and I got to go along as did Jack and Luke. First we went to Josh Wrights dairy, Josh is in Reid's class. The kids got to see the calves and how they feed them with a big bottle, they got to pet them and let them lick their finders. They we moved on and got to see the big bulls that they had. Next we saw the huge Morgans that the Wrights use to feed in the winter and to pull their carts around. Billy, the farmer said they get their Morgans straight from Amish Country. After the horses we saw the milk barn and then got a cup full of raw milk. The kids had to have permission from their parents to try raw milk so we had told Reid that he could try it. When we were at the farm and getting ready to taste the milk Reid said, "Mom, I want to taste the rotten milk." I thought it was funny that he thought we had said rotten milk, not raw milk. After the dairy we headed over to MD Nursery and got to see all the plants, it was a really fun day.
