Daddy & his little helper
Dragging.....
and dragging....
AND DRAGGING.....
Finally a little help......almost there!
Luke in Moms sling, as usualThe finished product
It has been our tradition for the past several years to go cut a Christmas tree Thanksgiving weekend. This year was no different. We went out on Friday and found a great tree for our living room. Usually Justin ends up doing most of the work from cutting it down to dragging it to the truck. This year Janie and Reid wanted to help drag the tree so we let 'em at it. They dragged it all the way to the truck, which wasn't too far, but for them it was quite far. I always love going out in the forest with the family and searching for the "perfect" tree. We got the tree up that evening and then decorated it on Saturday.

where are the pics of the tree decorated? Wish we could do that here. But you have to get a permit then find a good place to cut one. Too much work. So the stores precut ones or fake for us.
such cute pictures! They will always remember getting the Christmas tree!
What a great tradition! I can't think of anything more classic than that! I agree with Meg, I want to see the finished product.
Your tree looks great i love that your kids get to go do that did you do that growing up or is that just something you did with your kids?
What cute cute pictures! I went up to Brandi's yesterday and saw the tree up through your big window.
Oh, and I think your Party sounds great - I will be there!
Looks like fun....I can't believe how little snow there is. It's terrible isn't it!
Also...where did you get that sling...I'm thinking I gotta have one!
So cute...gotta try and get work off so I can come!
Wow. What fun. Our tree comes from the attic at my in laws house...it is the same dinky one we have had for 7 years. But, it works for us and will do for now. I love yours though. And what fun for your family to do that every year.
Your tree looks so good from the road. I can't wait to see it in person. I'm excited for your party!
How nice to have that tradition! We are big cheaters and have a fake tree, but I think it definately means more to go out in the woods, cut it yourself and bring it home to enjoy. It looks like the kids love to help with the process too. That's great!
That looks just like an awesome tradition. And your kids look so happy and the tree is beautiful :)
Question for you - when you put Luke in the sling when it's cold out, is he on top of your coat, or under somehow? I haven't quite figured that one out yet
