I went to my mother-in-laws on Tuesday to can peaches. It was great!! I have never done it and wanted to get tips from Justins mom. We canned 84 quarts in about 2.5 hours, it went really smooth with all of us working. Bonnie had already canned some before we got there, she is amazing! So now I need to get myself a canner so I can start doing my own stuff. We had to get a picture of all of us so from left to right is me, my mother-in-law, Bonnie, and Justins sisters, Amy and Sandra.

Sorry I didn't end up making it yesterday, I REALLY wanted it. I just ended up having one of those days with Jason! NO FUN!!! Jes said that you guys had such a great time, and conversation was so wonderful! I was telling her how horrible I felt, because it seems like everytime you plan something and invite me, I am unable to make it for whatever reason! Thanks thought, for always being so thoughtful! You are one in a million Rachel.
OK. I am so jealous! First of all you get to be up there where it's beautiful during the fall, and you're around family. Second you got to can peaches with Grandma? I want to get up there so bad and learn how to can anything really. There are so many things that I need to learn from my Grandma! Third, peaches are just sooo yummy, especially canned ones! I don't believe it. Invite me next time. I'll drive 5 hours to be there! :)
Wow! That is awesome. I wish I was there with you. You look so dang cute. I love your apron. I mean, I really love your apron...Like I love it so much, it would be a good gift for like Christmas or something!!

Oh my goodness, 84 quarts! It took me nearly all afternoon to do seven, HAHAHA! Of course, I'm just learning and it was my first time doing peaches too, but 84 quarts! I bet that feels awesome! You rock!

Don't you just love feeling all domestic. My mom and I did this same thing this weekend. I love knowing that I am doing something for my family that they will enjoy. Plus the bottles are so pretty when you are done.
