After our time in Vegas we drove over to see the Hoover Dam, it was amazing but even more amazing is the new bridge that they built for the freeway to cross the canyon. I cannot believe the mechanics that must have gone into building this bridge, the angles to get the support right and then the fact that it is hundreds of feet in the air, it's crazy! We walked down to the dam and looked over the edge, it is soooo far down. It really is amazing and mind boggling to think about how they built the dam. Right around the time that they were building the dam and finishing it there was a real worry that it could be attacked and bombed by enemy countrys so the military was stationed there to protect it. After we left there the kids were exausted from all the fun and quickly feel asleep that is except for Jack. He decided to have a little fun with Reid and put a box on his head while he was sleeping. Reid didn't even wake up.
Our family lives in the small town of Victor, Idaho. It sits at the base of the Teton Mtns. My husband, Justin, was raised in this valley and brought me here 10 years ago. Now our children will say they were born and raised in Teton Valley. We were married in December of '98 and moved here soon after. We have four children. Janie is 9, Reid is 7, Jack is 4, and Lucas is 2. We own our own business called JRN Contracting, we are a for hire dump truck operation. Justin also farms. We love the simple life and love living in the country.
