We took our annual Yellowstone trip this year the first weekend of October. We had a blast and this year we not only got to go with the
Kaufman's but also with the
Maxfield's. We LOVE spending time with all of them. We usually leave tired after a weekend with them because we have such a great time and laugh till we can't laugh anymore! They are such dear friends and we love them. Well, we usually like to go up to Mammoth Hot Springs which is in the northern most part of Yellowstone because the elk live there year round. They spend their time on the lawns there and it is amazing to see them up close. This year was a bit different, when we got to Mammoth there were no elk. It was an
eery feeling being there and having it be like a ghost town. Now Mammoth is like a little town where there used to be a fort for the army so there are all these little homes and buildings so it was strange to not see any elk when the past two years there have been elk like crazy. Anyway, our trip was really fun, kind of fast and furious but we had a great time, even if we didn't see the elk.
