This is the picture Luke took of me, he loves taking picture.I've decided close ups are a no no now that you can see wrinkles
by my eyes! I guess I really am getting older. :)
I love end of summer canning!! I really enjoy doing it and I love knowing that I can do it. This year I ordered 3 and a half bushel. We ate 1/2 a bushel and then I canned the rest. I ended up with 60 quarts of peaches. Hopefully that will get us through to next year! Of course I have my trusted helper right next to me helping. I got some apples from a friend and did 7 quarts of applesauce which turned out really yummy. I am hoping to get some more apples to replenish my supply of apple pie filling and then I will do some chicken in November. I feel like a squirrel storing up for the winter!

Way to go Rachel! I wish I had some of your energy! It's such a nice feeling to get things like that done and feel so productive isn't it! Luke with the blue paint cracks me up! Good thing he's cute! Looks like you've been having lots of fun and staying busy! We miss you guys!

That is great! Unlike you, I am like a bear. I am just storing my fat to get me through the long, harsh Florida winters!
