The Christmas clothes my mom made for the kids. The hot cook came previously, about 11 years ago! :)

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We stayed home which we usually do. We had our fancy Christmas Eve dinner then the kids opened their pajamas and we read the story of Jesus' birth. We sent the kids to bed and told them they couldn't get up until 7:00am. The kids sleep in the basement and Justin and I sleep all the way upstairs so when the kids got up they had to go past the tree and presents to get to our room. It was funny to hear them oooing and ahhhing over what Santa had left them. When they finally came up to get us they were so excited to tell us what was under the tree. We just hung out all of Christmas day, we had a wonderful breakfast and then played with toys and watched a couple of the movies the kids got. I love being able to stay home, in our pajamas, and just enjoy the day. We always have a Nelson family party sometime between Christmas and New Years. This year with Justins parents on a mission in London, Sandra, one of the sisters volunteered to have the party at her house. We had a great time. We decided to skip the presents this year and instead all of the siblings wrote a memory or two about the next sibling in line. They also told a memory about Janie Jo. They typed them all up and each sibling gets a binder to put them in. It was such a wonderful idea, it was so fun to hear the funny and sometimes touching memories of each one and especially Janie Jo. There were some tears shed and lots of laughter. I think this is going to be a new Nelson tradition each year. I sure hope so anyway! Another highlight of the party was that we got to chat with Bonnie and Glen over the internet, we got to see them and talk, it was wonderful although it made me miss them even more. All in all we had a very enjoyable Christmas season!!

It sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas!!!! I got a griddle also. I'm sure the stories were great with the Nelson family. That is one of my favorite things to do is talk about the stories of us growing up. We even played charades with our stories this year! I hope that things are going well with you and your family.

Looks like you guys had a great time! What a fun Holiday season.
I love reading about your Christmas. You have such a sweet family. It's hard to believe you are a grown up mom. You always seemed like the young, wild one to me. Guess we all have to grow up, huh? So sad...:).
what a great Christmas! And Janie got a sewing machine! Awesome! Can't wait to see her projects :)
