My family LOVES strawberry freezer jam so I try to make a big batch to last us through the year. I had Janie help me this year which was really nice. I cleaned the strawberries while she processed them in the food processor. She then helped stir the mixture of strawberries and pectin for 30 minutes. Then it was time to fill the jars and she did that too. It was great having a little helper, I look forward to her helping more this fall when we do the majority of our canning. We ended up with about 23 pints of strawberry jam. We have a pretty good sized strawberry patch out back so we might do a few more when those come on.

that is awesome. It is great to have your daughter in there with you too. I have a lot of memories doing canning with mom when we were little. I prefer regular jam though and with it you only have to stir for a couple minutes. You may want to try that sometime too.
Cute pics! It looks yummy!
What a good helper, and so nice to have someone big enough to help make it not just eat it. She is getting so big.
Ah... what a fun time for you and Janie - I am sure she LOVED it!
I will take one of those pints please!!!! yummmm
Lucky!! It's so nice when you have a great helper around. I wish I had your energy...not to mention your dishwasher AND your super Cute red shoes.
I still think that's awesome! I love that freezer jam and if we didn't still have a ton from last year, I'd do it with my girls this year. I think we're going to attempt a strawberry pie for Fathers Day. You're our inspiration :D
How great to have Janie old enough to help you do your jam. It looks yummy. Freezer jam is the best.
Strawberry Jam and chickens--you are just an all around self-reliant woman! I'm so impressed. And I am really looking forward to the day when my kids are as helpful as Janie.
cute pics of you and Janie!
