Mackay

This year we were all at Mackay for a while. We went the first part of August and we had a blast. We pulled our camper up there and the kids and I stayed for a little over a week. By the time we got home we were all filthy but we had so much fun floating the river and camping out. I do have to say it was so nice to have the camper to put kids to bed in and get cleaned up at night. All five of us kids were there and it was great. We floated the river everyday, we played volleyball and of course we played a lot of cards. We got to see cousins that we only see every few years and Grandpa Neilson was there, of course. The river was actually pretty high regardless of the drought that we are in and the men caught a few fish. No big keepers but some smaller ones. All my kids floated the river with us. Of course they would ride with one of the adults but even Jack went down with me a couple of times. He hated it and cried almost the whole way but he went. After a few times of going my dad figured out that if you tie two tubes together then Janie and Reid could have their own tube and it was a lot more fun.
